Texas High School Basketball - Jayton trounces Guthrie

The Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Guthrie Jaguars (Guthrie, TX), 89-36 in Friday's league test.
The Jaybirds (16-1) will now prepare for their test against Spur (Spur, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region I District 5 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Spur walloped Motley County (Matador, TX), 60-14, in a league test.
The Jaguars now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Paducah for a 1A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 17. Guthrie will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 62-45 league win over Patton Springs (Afton, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 12-6.
