Hatton Hornets (Town Creek, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Hatton upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Hornets host East Lawrence (Trinity, AL) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-6. East Lawrence lost 81-40 in their recent league bout against Good Hope (Cullman, AL)

Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Athens, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
