Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hoffman Estates Hawks (Hoffman Estates, IL), 32-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Schaumburg upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Saxons travel to Fremd (Palatine, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a Mid-Suburban - West bout on Thursday, January 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Fremd won 54-33 in their recent non-league bout against Lakes (Lake Villa, IL)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Hoffman Estates will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record.
