Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Patrick Henry upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Rebels travel to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA) to play the Warriors in a Hogoheegee challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Chilhowie won 72-49 in their recent league challenge against Northwood (Saltville, VA)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Lebanon Pioneers (Lebanon, VA) in a Hogoheegee challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Holston will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record.
