Jesuit Blue Jays (New Orleans, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Holy Cross Tigers (New Orleans, LA), 59-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Jesuit upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Blue Jays travel to Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA) to play the Raiders in a 5A District 9 bout on Saturday, January 14. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 16-7. Archbishop Rummel lost 54-36 in their recent league bout against Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a 5A District 9 bout, on Saturday, January 14. Holy Cross will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 65-59 league loss to St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA).
