West Virginia High School Basketball - WestSide knocked off by Independence

The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting WestSide Renegades to 47 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sissonville for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Independence will battle a Indians team coming off a 56-46 league loss to Nitro (Nitro, WV). The Indians record now stands at 2-8.
The Renegades (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mingo Central (Matewan, WV). The Miners enter the Coalfield AA contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Mingo Central ran past River View (Bradshaw, WV), 65-50, in a non-league contest.
