The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) basketball knocked off the host Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX), 59-42 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (18-9) will now prepare for their test against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region III District 19 test with a 1-16 record. In their last test, West Orange-Stark went down by Silsbee (Silsbee, TX), 94-64, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bridge City for a 4A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, January 17. Jasper will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 68-52 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 15-12.
