The Johnston City Indians basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Trico Pioneers to 43 in the Indians league victory on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christopher for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Johnston City will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 61-51 league loss to Goreville (Goreville, IL). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-9.
The Pioneers (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, DuQuoin was defeated by Carterville (Carterville, IL), 93-42, in a league contest.
