Marlboro Academy Dragons (Bennettsville, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host King's Academy Lions (Florence, SC), 61-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Marlboro Academy upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Dragons host Lee Academy (Bishopville, SC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a SCISA AA Region III bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Lee Academy lost 92-54 in their recent league bout against Dillon Christian (Dillon, SC)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Dillon Christian Warriors (Dillon, SC) in a SCISA AA Region III bout, on Friday, January 20. King's Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
