Texas High School Basketball - Wells can't hold off Laneville

The Laneville Yellowjackets basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Wells Pirates to 48 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Friday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Neches for a 1A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Laneville will battle a Tigers team coming off a 55-32 league win over Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 15-8.
The Pirates (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Kennard (Kennard, TX). The Tigers come into the 1A Region IV District 27 contest with a 1-17 record. In their last contest, Kennard was nudged by Martinsville (Martinsville, TX), 91-25, in a league contest.
