The L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA) basketball knocked off the host Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA), 74-55 in Friday's league test.
The Skyhawks (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Matoaca notched a victory over Freedom (Woodbridge, VA), 86-64, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Prince George for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Midlothian will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 73-61 non-league loss to Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA). The Royals record now stands at 1-12.
