The Shiner Comanches basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Louise Hornets to 51 in the Comanches league triumph on Friday.
The Comanches now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ganado for a 2A Region IV District 28 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Shiner will meet a Indians team coming off a 60-55 league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, TX). The Indians record now stands at 5-15.
The Hornets (3-18) will now prepare for their contest against Flatonia (Flatonia, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region IV District 28 contest with a 22-3 record. In their last bout, Flatonia overwhelmed Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX), 70-54, in a league bout.
