The Searcy Lions basketball team (Searcy, AR), was overwhelmed 56-32 in Friday's league battle with the host Marion Patriots (Marion, AR)
The Patriots now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Batesville for a 5A East battle on Tuesday, January 17. Marion will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 55-42 league loss to Paragould (Paragould, AR). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-15.
The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR). The Golden Eagles come into the 5A East battle with a 18-3 record. In their last battle, Greene County Tech was overwhelmed by Valley View (Jonesboro, AR), 57-54, in a league battle.
