Texas High School Basketball - Midland tops Permian

January 13, 2023: Midland, TX 79701

Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX), 58-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Midland upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Odessa (Odessa, TX) to play the Bronchos in a 6A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bronchos come into the bout with a record of 15-10. Odessa lost 89-58 in their recent league bout against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Permian will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 53-46 league win over Midland Legacy (Midland, TX).
