Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN), 70-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Milford upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Bearcats travel to La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-10. La Salette Academy lost 55-15 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, IL)

Next up, the Rebels play the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. South Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 50-42 league win over Grant Park (Grant Park, IL).
