The Union Red Hawks (Grand Rapids, MI) basketball felled the visiting Mona Shores Sailors (Norton Shores, MI), 65-54 in Friday's league test.
The Red Hawks (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Muskegon (Muskegon, MI). The Big Reds go into the Ottawa-Kent - Green test with a 8-0 record. In their last test, Muskegon thwarted Lincoln (Warren, MI), 50-45, in a non-league test.
The Sailors now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Zeeland West for a Ottawa-Kent - Green test on Tuesday, January 17. Mona Shores will meet a Dux team coming off a 55-46 league loss to Muskegon (Muskegon, MI). The Dux record now stands at 7-2.
