Nashua Porcupines (Nashua, MT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Scobey/Opheim Spartans (Scobey, MT), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nashua upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Porcupines travel to Brockton (Brockton, MT) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Spartans play the Wolf Point Wolves (Wolf Point, MT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Scobey/Opheim will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 56-53 non-league win over Dawson County (Glendive, MT).
