The Royal Valley Panthers basketball team (Hoyt, KS), was nudged 42-41 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS)

The Thunder now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. Nemaha Central will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 66-43 non-league win over KIPP Legacy (Kansas City, MO). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-2.

The Panthers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Santa Fe Trail was nudged by Anderson County (Garnett, KS), 65-64, in a league battle.
