The The Rock Lions (Gainesville, FL) basketball knocked off the visiting North Florida Educational Institute Fighting Eagles (Jacksonville, FL), 77-58 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lions (16-9) will now prepare for their test against DME Academy (Daytona Beach, FL). The DME Academy go into the Sunshine Independent test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, DME Academy notched a victory over PHH Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 66-65, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Eagles now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Booker T. Washington for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. North Florida Educational Institute will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 57-49 non-league win over Westside (Jacksonville, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-2.
