Spectators at Friday's league test between the Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX) and the visiting Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX), witnessed Windthorst's basketball squad crush Petrolia by a margin of 56-26.

The Trojans (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Nocona (Nocona, TX). The Indians go into the 2A Region II District 9 test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Nocona was trounced by Seymour (Seymour, TX), 48-45, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Olney for a 2A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, January 17. Petrolia will encounter a Cubs squad coming off a 67-37 league loss to Archer City (Archer City, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 6-19.
