Pocatello Thunder (Pocatello, ID) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Shelley Russets (Shelley, ID), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pocatello upgrades its record to 14-0 on the season. The Thunder travel to Highland (Pocatello, ID) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Highland won 55-45 in their recent non-league bout against Century (Pocatello, ID)

Next up, the Russets play the Skyline Grizzlies (Idaho Falls, ID) in a 4A High Country bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Shelley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 66-59 non-league loss to Rigby (Rigby, ID).
