Three Rivers Bulldogs (Three Rivers, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX), 50-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Three Rivers upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 19-4. Skidmore-Tynan won 57-23 in their recent league bout against Yorktown (Yorktown, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Refugio will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 75-44 league loss to Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX).
