The Resurrection Catholic Eagles topped the host Salem Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 58-45 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Richton Rebels (Richton, MS) in a 1A Region 8 game, on Wednesday, January 18. Resurrection Catholic will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Rebels enter the game with a 8-9 record after their 56-28 league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, MS).
With the defeat, Salem moves to 5-9 on the year. The Wildcats host Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS) to face the Yellowjackets in a 1A Region 8 test on Tuesday, January 17. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a record of 3-9. Enterprise won 50-46 in their recent non-league test against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS)
