Romulus Eagles (Romulus, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Thurston Eagles (Redford, MI), 91-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Romulus upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host South Lake (St. Clair Shores, MI) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 1-5. South Lake lost 75-35 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln (Warren, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the University Prep Panthers (Detroit, MI) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 15. Thurston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 46-45 non-league loss to Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI).
