The Thornapple Kellogg Trojans basketball team (Middleville, MI), was overwhelmed 61-29 in Friday's league battle with the visiting South Christian Sailors (Grand Rapids, MI)

The Sailors now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenowa Hills for a Ottawa-Kent - Black battle on Tuesday, January 17. South Christian will confront a Knights team coming off a 56-50 non-league loss to Forest Hills Eastern (Ada, MI). The Knights record now stands at 6-3.

The Trojans (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Springs (Cedar Springs, MI). The Red Hawks come into the Ottawa-Kent - Gold battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Cedar Springs was overwhelmed by Ottawa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI), 73-48, in a league battle.
