The Towanda Black Knights basketball team (Towanda, PA), was overwhelmed 56-24 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Troy Trojans (Troy, PA)

The Trojans now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Penn-Liberty for a Northern Tier battle on Thursday, January 19. Troy will confront a Mountie team coming off a 60-48 league loss to Towanda (Towanda, PA). The Mountie record now stands at 8-6.

The Black Knights (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Penn-Liberty (Liberty, PA). The Mountie come into the Northern Tier battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, North Penn-Liberty trounced Cowanesque Valley (Westfield, PA), 53-27, in a league battle.
