Wilkinson County Warriors (Irwinton, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Twiggs County Cobras (Jeffersonville, GA), 76-51 in a league bout.
With the win, Wilkinson County upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Portal (Portal, GA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Portal won 88-58 in their recent league bout against Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA)
Next up, the Cobras clash with the Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Twiggs County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 76-73 league win over Carver (Columbus, GA).
