AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), 73-36 in a league bout.

With the win, AGWSR upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Cougars host West Marshall (State Center, IA) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-2. West Marshall won 80-23 in their recent league bout against Saydel (Des Moines, IA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout, on Tuesday, January 17. East Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 50-33 league win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA).
