The Sonora Wildcats basketball team (Sonora, CA), was nudged 52-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA)
The Mustangs now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Summerville for a Mother Lode League battle on Tuesday, January 17. Argonaut will battle a Bears team coming off a 62-7 league loss to Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA). The Bears record now stands at 3-11.
The Wildcats (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Calaveras (San Andreas, CA). The Redhawks come into the Mother Lode League battle with a 16-5 record. In their last battle, Calaveras edged Amador (Sutter Creek, CA), 39-22, in a league battle.
