The Augusta Orioles basketball team scored 28 points and held the host Winfield Vikings to 19 in the Orioles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Orioles now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Dorado for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Augusta will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 34-25 non-league loss to Rose Hill (Rose Hill, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.

The Vikings (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Collegiate (Wichita, KS). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Collegiate was defeated by Clearwater (Clearwater, KS), 53-14, in a non-league contest.
