The University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) basketball crushed the host Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI), 52-9 in Friday's non-league test.

The Knights (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Academy of the Sacred Heart (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Gazelles go into the Catholic C-D D test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Academy of the Sacred Heart was trounced by Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI), 43-27, in a non-league test.

The Crusaders now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Austin Catholic will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 64-28 non-league loss to Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-4.
