In Friday's league outing, the Ballinger Bearcats (Ballinger, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX), by a margin of 52-28.

The Bearcats (16-9) will now prepare for their outing against Clyde (Clyde, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region I District 6 outing with a 12-14 record. In their last outing, Clyde was trounced by Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX), 47-19, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they host Coahoma for a 3A Region I District 6 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Grape Creek will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 46-36 league loss to Wall (Wall, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-14.
