Texas High School Basketball - Bel Air overwhelms Parkland

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX) and the host Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), saw Bel Air's basketball squad wallop Parkland by a tally of 61-6.

With the victory, Bel Air improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Horizon (El Paso, TX) to confront the Scorpions in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a record of 7-16. Horizon lost 60-37 in their recent league challenge against Ysleta (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Matadors confront the Hanks Knights (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Parkland will attempt to improve on its 4-23 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 44-41 league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX).
