College Prep Cougars (Oakland, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bentley Phoenix (Lafayette, CA), 35-32 in a league bout.

With the win, College Prep upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Athenian (Danville, CA) to clash with the Owls in a Bay Counties - East bout on Friday, January 20. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 0-5.

Next up, the Phoenix clash with the Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA) in a Bay Counties - East bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Bentley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 49-40 league win over Head-Royce (Oakland, CA).
