Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs (Berne, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mekeel Christian Academy Lions (Schenectady, NY), 60-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Berne-Knox-Westerlo upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Fort Plain (Fort Plain, NY) to play the Hilltoppers in a Section 2 Western bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Lions play the Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville Wolves (St. Johnsville, NY) in a Section 2 Western bout, on Monday, January 23. Mekeel Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
