In Friday's league match, the visiting Harleton Wildcats basketball team scored a good 38-27 triumph over the Big Sandy Wildcats.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 match, on Tuesday, January 17. Harleton will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 15-10 record after their 32-20 league loss to McLeod (McLeod, TX).
