Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), 67-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Boerne-Champion upgrades its record to 22-5 on the season. The Chargers host Wagner (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Thunderbirds in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a record of 17-4. Wagner won 74-26 in their recent league bout against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX)

Next up, the Matadors clash with the Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Seguin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-21 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 15-14 record after their 38-24 league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX).
