In Friday's non-league outing, the Bullitt East Chargers (Mt. Washington, KY) basketball squad beat the host Bullitt Central Cougars (Shepherdsville, KY), by a count of 66-50.
The Chargers (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Mercy (Louisville, KY). The Jaguars go into the District 24 outing with a 12-6 record. In their last outing, Mercy was topped by Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH), 54-50, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Spencer County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17. Bullitt Central will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 56-54 non-league win over Owen County (Owenton, KY). The Bears record now stands at 13-3.
