Texas High School Basketball - Cooper knocked off by Coronado

The Coronado Mustangs basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Cooper Cougars to 41 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 20-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monterey for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Coronado will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 65-44 league win over Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 21-3.
The Cougars (18-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Pirates enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Cooper ran past Wylie (Abilene, TX), 59-31, in a league contest.
