Grace King Fighting Irish (Metairie, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cox Cougars (Harvey, LA), 42-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Grace King upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Fighting Irish travel to Livingston Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Cougars play the St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Cox will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 63-20 non-league loss to Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA).
