De Pere Redbirds (De Pere, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sheboygan North Golden Raiders (Sheboygan, WI), 43-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, De Pere upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Redbirds host Pulaski (Pulaski, WI) to play the Red Raiders in a Fox River Classic bout on Saturday, January 14. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 2-12. Pulaski lost 48-45 in their recent league bout against Ashwaubenon (Green Bay, WI)

Next up, the Golden Raiders play the Bay Port Pirates (Green Bay, WI) in a Fox River Classic bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Sheboygan North will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 78-35 league win over Sheboygan South (Sheboygan, WI).
