The Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA) basketball felled the host Dunsmuir Tigers (Dunsmuir, CA), 47-35 in Friday's league test.
The Hornets (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Hayfork (Hayfork, CA). The Timberjacks go into the Evergreen test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Hayfork was beaten by Big Valley (Bieber, CA), 38-29, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Big Valley for a Evergreen contest on Wednesday, January 18. Dunsmuir will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 0-0 league Happy Camp (Happy Camp, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-5.
