The West Hancock Eagles (Britt, IA) basketball nipped the host Eagle Grove Eagles (Eagle Grove, IA), 48-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Hampton-Dumont (Hampton, IA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Hampton-Dumont was tipped by Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 48-27, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Lake Mills for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Eagle Grove will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 51-37 league win over Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-9.
