In Friday's non-league match, the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored a decisive 55-32 triumph over the Wilkes Central Eagles.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a 1A Conference 36 battle, on Friday, January 20. East Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record.
