The Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Emerson Vo-Tech/Buffalo Culinary Arts Eagles to 30 in the Engineers league triumph on Friday.

The Engineers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Mercy Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Hutchinson-Central Tech will battle a Magic team coming off a 69-25 league loss to Mount St. Mary Academy (Kenmore, NY). The Magic record now stands at 2-6.

The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Tapestry/Western New York Maritime Charter (Buffalo, NY). The enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Tapestry/Western New York Maritime Charter was routed by Charter School for Applied Tech (Buffalo, NY), 59-25, in a non-league contest.
