The Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Ethel Tigers (Ethel, MS), 49-43 in Friday's league test.
The Gators (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS). The Bobcats go into the 1A Region 6 test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Sebastopol was tipped by Forest (Forest, MS), 48-17, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Leake County for a 1A Region 6 test on Tuesday, January 31.
