The North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 43-39 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (14-4) will now prepare for their test against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals go into the 2A Conference 37 test with a 10-2 record.

The Falcons now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Starmount for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Forbush will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 68-27 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Rams record now stands at 8-7.
