Virginia High School Basketball - William Byrd overwhelmed by Franklin County

The Franklin County Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting William Byrd Terriers to 20 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge contest on Tuesday, January 17. Franklin County will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 50-44 league loss to Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-4.
The Terriers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings come into the Blue Ridge contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Northside triumphed over Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 64-57, in a league contest.
