In Friday's league match, the host Gate City Blue Devils basketball team scored a decisive 66-16 triumph over the Lee Generals.
In their next game, the Blue Devils meet the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 14. Gate City will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record.
With the defeat, Lee moves to 0-9 on the year. The Generals travel to Union (Appalachia, VA) to meet the Bears in a Mountain match on Friday, January 20. The Bears enter the match with a record of 8-5.
