Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Vistamar Vikings (El Segundo, CA), saw Geffen Academy's basketball squad knock off Vistamar by a count of 39-29.

With the victory, Geffen Academy upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bruins host New Roads (Santa Monica, CA) to play the Jaguars in a Coastal challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 1-7.

Next up, the Vikings play the El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Vistamar will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 51-40 league loss to Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA).
